Character's Name: Mithos Yggdrasill
Character's Age: ~4000, though he can control his physical age. He appears in two 'age forms;' one is a young boy of approximately 15 years old, while the other is approximately 23.
Character's Class: Bishop (I'd say Mage, but Mage doesn't have offensive light spells.)

Biography: Mithos is the very same hero from the history of Aselia. Prior to this, however, he and his sister Martel were very close, despite being blamed for a disaster in their home city of Heimdall due to them being half-elves. They were cast out of the city like common criminals (a notable parallel to Lloyd and Genis being kicked out of Iselia), and when they learned of the incoming Sylvaranti invasion, they were ignored. Only two people became their friends - Yuan and Kratos Aurion.

While the legend states that Mithos destroyed the Desians, the reality of the situation is far more grim than that. The war was actually between Sylvarant and Tethe'Alla; the Desians had nothing to do with it. The war threatened the entire world due to the fact that both sides made use of Magi-Technology, a form of technology that uses mana for fuel. Without mana, the world would be rendered uninhabitable, leading to global extinction. Much like the abusive use of fossil fuels in real life, mana became dangerously scarce in the world.

Mithos' most grand form of intervention came in the form of literally splitting the world into two halves through the use of the Eternal Sword crafted by Origin, isolating Sylvarant and Tethe'Alla from eachother. The reason for this lies in the world's dangerously low level of mana due to the abusive use of Magi-Technology; with the worlds cut into two halves, they had to vie for eachother's mana. With mana now being even more scarce, Magi-Technology could no longer be used, or even invented. In this sense, Mithos prevented a second global, cataclysmic war from ever becoming a reality.

Martel, unfortunately, died during the war, though her soul remained intact inside of her exsphere. Mithos would go on to found Cruxis, with the aid of Kratos. Yuan would betray the remaining Seraphim. Mithos had two ultimate goals with Cruxis under his control; his ultimate goal was to resurrect Martel into a body with a nearly identical mana signature (hence the reason for the Journey of Regeneration), and the other was to create a world without discrimination (though his vision of a world without discrimination was far more dire than it sounds).

Mithos - now going by the name Lord Yggdrasill - founded a group called the "Desians" to assist with the production of exspheres, the catalyst of his 'world without discrimination', while quietly waiting for the perfect vessel for Martel to show up during the Journeys of Regeneration, under the pretense of reversing the mana flow. It wasn't until nearly 4000 years later that he would finally find the perfect suitor for Martel's consciousness.

A Chosen from the world of Sylvarant by the name of Colette Brunel finally arrived at the Tower of Mana, where Yggdrasill made his first actual appearance in front of someone who wasn't a Desian or Kratos. After brutally defeating the party (the fight is unwinnable, believe me, I tried to cheat), he tried to take Colette with him to Cruxis to implant Martel into her body, until Yuan and his Renegades interfered. Mithos would have to wait even longer.

With the party no longer within his grasp, he realized that he had to take matters into his own hands. He did this in the form of infiltrating the party in his true form, the form of his childhood, to appear as an unfortunate survivor and an innocent young boy. The party bought it hook and sinker when Mithos appeared at Ozette, after burning the village to the ground. Mithos pretended he was a survivor and an outcast, and was able to successfully tag along with the party. He and Genis became close friends.

... That is, until Mithos unexpectedly ended up here.

Personality: Mithos is not your average everything-hating, jaded villain; rather, he is widely interpreted as the quintessential misguided hero. His psyche ravaged by the grief of his sister's death, he did everything he possibly could to not only bring her back from the dead, but to make the world 'perfect' for the two of them; that is, a world without the hatred and animosity towards half-elves.

This grief turned him cold and ruthless. While in his Yggdrasill form, Mithos was cold enough to kill one of his followers begging for her life just for calling him 'Mithos'. He seems to be far more evil in this form.

However, that is not to say that Mithos cannot be kind and gentle. While he was in the party in his child form, he played with Genis, and acted like a true kid. If you knew nothing about him, you could have never guessed that he and Lord Yggdrasill were one and the same; Mithos was just too kind. However, he reveals himself to be the same evil and heartless man when he attacks Tabatha. Rather, in his child form, he seemed to be far more sarcastic, yet more pitiable than in his adult form.

The rejection and condemnation from his sister for his actions was, to him, the ultimate betrayal. Beyond this point, there is no hope of him ever being sane again. That is I took him from before that point.

Fighting Style: Mithos moves slowly, though he teleports around the battlefield instantaneously and can fly. He makes heavy use of Angel Skills, as well as light magic such as Ray and Holy Lance. His mystic arte is Indignate Judgment. He almost never uses physical attacks.
